Sundre High School has implemented a school notification system called SchoolMessenger that may be used to send messages to parents about events at the school, emergencies, last-minute cancellations, bus information notices, as well as attendance alerts for students with absences that we have not been notified of.

These messages can be delivered to you three different ways:

  1. Phone call - up to two phone numbers (Landline or Cellphone)

  2. Email - up to two email addresses

  3. Text message - up to two cell phone numbers (requires you to Opt-In)

To allow the system to send you text messages you will need to Opt-In by texting "Y" or "Yes" to 724665.

To guarantee the messaging system is used efficiently, we will need to confirm your contact information for alert purposes is accurate and up-to-date at all times.
If this is not the contact information you would like alerts to be sent to or if you have any questions, please contact Sundre High School at 403-638-4545.

To Edit the types of messages going to which contact type, log onto PowerSchool under the parents tab on our Chinook's Edge website, and click on the InfoCenter link on the left hand menu. Here you can choose your communication preferences based on the message category (email, voice, and or text message). If you have not logged into the Parent Portal before, please choose CreateAccount, and enter your information. Once an account has been created, click the "Link Students to Account" .
Please be aware that the information for SchoolMessenger is not the same as your Parental Contact information at the school. If you need to change phone numbers or emails for traditional contacting of parents, please be sure to make the school office aware of the new information.
